1970 Grille inserts
Can anybody tell me if the 1970 Grille inserts have a Left and a Right side, I know the 71-72 inserts are made that way? Thanks for your info, buford

Re: 1970 Grille inserts
I've got two 1970 F250's, one of my trucks is an early production model, August of 1969, and my other one is a later production model, April of 1970.
The interesting thing about 1970 Ford pickup grilles is that the early production models are NOT interchangeable from side to side but later production models ARE interchangeable from side to side.
Now keep in mind that I'm no expert, but this is my understanding and my experience with 1970's...
...go figure...

Also, the 1970 grille shell and inserts are a one year only item. The inserts might not interchange with the later 71-72 grille shell, the mounting tabs are of different depths.

Re: 1970 Grille inserts
Mine were busted so I put a set of '72 inserts in my '70 grille. While they will bolt up, it's obvious they don't belong. They don't match the profile of the grille and protrude out a little at the bottom. I wound up buying a used set of '70 inserts from ebay. While they had a crack or two in them, at least they matched up cleaner.
