I'm pretty sure that Dennis Carpenter, Mac's, and LMC all make reproduction grille shells. They all are priced at about $550....ouch.

Dennis Carpenter
Grille shell $550.00
inserts pair $120.00
Headlight bezel R.H. $65.00
Headlight bezel L.H. $65.00
Total $800.00
Plus Tax $$ Plus Shipping
Add the cost of buckets, $30.00 a piece
rings $10.00 a piece
and hardware $15.00 estimate
Brings your total to $895.00 plus tax and shipping Items made in China
And people told me my grilles, completely polished and a complete grille set up at the cost of $585.00 shipped, was to much.
I actually stopped doing these grilles because no one wanted them. Mine were'nt anodized but they were original reconditioned polished grilles.

The good thing is that the shell and headlight bezels are anodized.

Just be glad you can get re-pops for the 70-72 grilles. The 67-69 guys are S.O.L. as far as re-pops go.

I gave $400 for a NOS in the box '71 grill shell in 1999. I have seen the DC re-pops & they are very good quality. They even have the original Ford markings on them.

Thanks guys,
I'd still like to find a real nice used one, but they are few and far between in Nebraska

Yes the 67-69 guy's are as you say S.O.L. can you imagine what a re-pop grille would cost? A member from either this site or one of the others had went to Dennis Carpenters inquireing about a 69 grille. He showed them his which was in great shape and was told he could get $1500.00 if he was to sell it. Far fetched, perhaps. If D.C. or any others are to re-pop these grilles I'm sure you'll be looking at $2000.00 for the grille shell and headlight bezels.
A lot of people selling these on ebay have jumped on the band-wagon demanding high prices for these grilles. Most sell just the shells for upwards of $400.00+ When you receive them, you'll find more damage than you bargained for. Not to mention broken or missing mounting tabs. I know this because periodically I buy these grilles for customers. While I can fix 95% of the ones I buy, there's still that 5% I can't. The only thing lacking on my grilles is the anodizing. Even now the anodizing company I was using for "perfect grilles" went out of business thanks to the E.P.A. so the best that can be done is a re-conditioned polished grilled. Which no one on ebay is doing.
N.O.S. grilles fetch big $$$$ remember the N.O.S. 69 grille that sold on ebay for $1200.00 (shell only) One before that sold for $1500.00 Keep in mind that N.O.S. does not mean perfect. It just means they have never been mounted on a vehicle. I have had N.O.S. parts and some are in need of repairs but are still N.O.S.
