66 fastback project

Post by Spraygun »

Couple years back i spun my 66 fastback into a bank. I was going t5o take it to work and repair, but there was old work and rust so I decided to chop the rear half off and start over.

I wanted to get more tire under it so I did a mini tub

I used reproduction parts and it was a challenge, luckily I was able to get one pc. frame rails and full quarters, the truck pans were really bad, it took hours to fit them to car.

I built a 347 engine for it:

I did all the bodywork and beefed up the structure, new torqueboxes front and rear, subframe connectors, etc.

A friend bought it before I finished it .

He is a good friend, the best! I've been doing this work for 30 years, i don't get too sentimental about them
The only one I miss is the 64 Vette
