Inner Door Rust Repair

Im wondering what some of you guys are doing about your inner door rust I sent my doors off to get plastic bead blasted and they turned out great. In the process of welding up the lower trim holes and the rusted areas at the normal spots in the bottoms of the outter door skin I found rust. I need to prevent that rust from anymore rusting. Needing some input on what i should do to stop the rust with or coat it with to prevent it. I've been told to either use resin for fiberglass or 3m undercoating on the inners of the doors.

Where the door skin meets the inner door is difficult area to get at for cleaning/derusting, I used an hacksaw blade and raked along that lowest point, was able to force it into the corners pretty well. Lots of crud and rusty scale there. Sanded, cleaned as best I could, poured some metal etch, waited a day, repeat the scraping and sanding.
The drain holes along the bottom edge and especially the corners could use a bit of work. I ended up elongating them and making additional ones so any moisture can drain out from a lower point.
I used some metal etch primer, sprayed a lot on the inside and let pool while tilting the door back and forth allowing it to seep into the crevices and corners. Followed up with Rustoleum metal primer in several coats.
Undercoating might be too coarse, creating a rough surface where the inner and outer panels meet. My goal was to create a smooth sealed area that any moisture can flow along towards the drainholes.

That's what I've been doing, I'd also like the read how others have dealt with this!

I just did this in a 20gal tub to clean my pedal bracket...pretty slick...more parts to follow I would think a wooden framed box and heavymill plastic and the skys the limit

The instructions i got off the net are a little different than the one posted.....same principles
It does work and it was my first time....went a little slow,but the end product was rust free
