inner fender question

i was finishing up the wiring in my engine compartment and i was wonder what this hole was for? i put a piece of tape over the back of it so you guys could see it better

No idea what it's for. I just looked at both of my unmolested '70 F250 2WD trucks and sure enough, they both have that same hole.

Three different pictures of that area for the 358 mile truck. Go figure...just out of the picture in all three.

I'm saying it's for the grommet-for the flux capacitor wiring. :thup:

...ya know Jeff, I heard a large thud, like something fell off, while I was driving my truck. I just shrugged and kept on driving...it must've been my Flux Capacitor!?!?

My performance just hasn't been the same since my Flux Capacitor parted company with my truck...well at least that mystery has been solved!

I was always told it was lightening up the front end for race applications. If you drill enough of them you can get the weight of the inner fender down to almost nothing. I must have a newer model truck. My Flux Capacitor is inside the cab under the seat. Maybe they had problems with water being mounted outside in the elements.
