Body Mount Question

Post by Judgement699 »

Well I am in the middle of my restoration and ordered my body mounts from Summit. Loved them, they were poly and knew they would be better then those rubber ones. When taking off the old mounts the hardware just disinegrated into the wind.... Well when I recived the mounts they did not come with hardware which was what I would say was a washer welded to a tube but when I was trying to figure out hardware construction ideas I am just stumped.... :hmm:

I have seen people take some steel tubing and build them from that, But not sure how well the welds would hold. So now im comming to the experts.... Any ideas, suggestions, or little tips would make these things work would just make my week.

DC has the entire kit, (with the bushings) for around one bill:

But after seeing how they were made from DC it answered my question on what I needed.
