inner cab corner panels
I have to replace the cab corners, and the inside panels of these are shot also. I'm told these are not remanned, so I'll have to fabricate them. Have any of you guys had to do this? If so, any tips/hints would be great, thanks! Here are the pics of the inner cab corners I have to replace.

Re: inner cab corner panels
i found a way to repair mine .I'll try to get you some pics. I only had to replace about 4 inches on the outside corner right below the horizontal profile but i went futher up on inside maybe 1.5 inch above weld on new piece and cut the inner side out. Then i turned a piece of metal 90 degrees down to the new metal coming off the old inner cab corner. The new filler that goes between the new outside corner and the older part on inside corner i had to scribe because of the profile. When done there will be no inside cab corner about 5 to6 inches from bottom but will be blocked off because of filler piece.after all that i smoothed out weld seams, primed, seam seal, painted. It still makes a pretty stout cab corner.Like i said i will try to post pics if i can figure how to.Everytime i try it says that my pics are to large

Re: inner cab corner panels
I cut out some inners from another cab and cut and modified it so it would fit using the section above the bottom tapered section that was rusted out. The other doner corner was able to be welded directly in. I then did some body work so it would look more natural.

The finished product was pretty good (for an amateur)

Also wonder if a floor pan might work as well...seem like similar contours.

Hey, there's a thought. I have a bed I'm hauling off to scrap, I'll cut a hunk of bedfloor out and give that a try!smokey3215 wrote:i wonder if a piece of the bed floor would work there?
