My new bed!!

Post by Joshpow »

Yesterday I splurged and bought a bed. Drove the crap out of ol rustbucket. Went on a 2hr 20min ride over the hill and through the town to boone nc to meet mr randybeck. Brought me a 68 swb back. Think ill make me a good bed this time. Little rust scale underneath and few dings but really solid seams, floor, and bedsides. Happy special occasion to me and rustbucket. Heres some pics of ol rustbucket bringing its own parts home. What you think. Know other people haul beds like this but kinda proud of how well the trip went. No movement. Clamps and 2 ratchet straps with wood pegs in stake pockets. Lots of crazy looks on my trip back. Apparently I seemed to appear insane or something.

Looks great. That is the biggest thing I'd like to change about mine (making it a short box). I just bought a new box for mine as well. I'll post the moving trip as well!!!

sounds good. ive got shortbed but mines toast in the seams. this one is much better. lets see the story. see if you get the funny responses from people!! same idea will work for transporting yours if youre interested. only thing you may only be able to use 2 stake pockets to keep it from slipping.

Just think how much more you could haul with a double-decker bed.
