Why would anyone have a black truck with red wheels?!!

So, what color are you going with for the new paint?
It is original black with red interior so Im going to keep it black. I love the red interior with black exterior, really considering the satin black look,(never had a finished vehicle that wasnt covered in 3-5 coats of clear) .would be nice to not sweat over chips ,door dings from normal usage, just old school simple, I'll know by next week end for sure.

Texrodder how wide are wheels and tires you got on back. Do you know the back spacing? Truck will look great black with red interior. I've always loved red interior in black car and trucks.

15X10's will fit with 5-1/2" backspacing so long as you keep the tire width under 300mm.

I've got Wheel Vintique "Smoothies" 15x8 and a 275/60-15 as well...thought about the 10" but I'll soon be swapping the 4.10 geared Dana 60 for a 3.50 geared 9" from a dentside which is a little wider so I wasn't sure if they'd fit. I love the look of the 8's though. Don't you have some blue steelies too Bobby?

turk54 wrote:The bolt pattern is different, but if you drill out the holes to 11/16" it makes them large enought to fit our bolt pattern. The holes will not be centered on the studs, but since that generation of F150 has hub-centric rims instread of lug-centric, the wheel will center itself on our hubs since they are the same size. Because the rims are 9.5 wide, I am running a custom hub-centric, 2" wide, 5-5.5" spacer on the rear (ebay) and had to grind off about an 1/8" of the lower outer edge of the tie rod so they don't rub in the front. I don't think the fronts would rub if it where at stock height, its the dream beam tie rod relocators that got me. I also had to get lug nuts with a flat backside (not tapered).

There are quite a few first generation lightning (early 90's) owners runnin these without problems, so since we share the same bolt patter I figured it was worth a try.
Great info! Did you use 2" spacers on the front also? If not, would a 1/2" spacer up front eliminate the need for any grinding?

As close as I can tell, outer sidewall to outer sidewall is 73-1/2". I have a Dana 60...not sure if flange to flange is identical to a 9".
