Hi All,
This is the guys and gal at Rustic Disc Brakes, formally TSM MFG from Colorado.
We are looking for 1- Member that would be willing to help us with field fitment of our new front brake kit. We would be doing one side first, drivers.
We had been working with a guy on his 69 F250, but he ran into some major health issues and is not able to move forward. Anyhow, this would fit the F250 67-71 or 72 Twin I-Beam with the 12 x 2" brake shoes or 12 x 2-1/8" ***NOT THE BIGGER 12 X 3". We never really nailed that down. This of course would be discounted for the brake kit only to the one person helping us. master cylinder not included in the special price.
The price will be communicated via email privately.
- This is a first come basis only
- We will ask for some pictures first before moving forward. These would be the driver's side from different angles. This is what we do not know and will not know for sure until field fitted. Shock placement interference if any, steering arms/linkage.
- We would ask that you not discard anything from your drum brake system...JUST in case this goes south.
- You must be willing to test fit, take pictures along the way and give us feedback.
- I can send the one person the pictures we have to date of the kit mocked up.
- This is fitted currently to cut down piece of front axle the guy sent us; he had a bent up one.
- You must be willing to have your truck down during this process. Hopefully what we have already will take away a lot of the fitment issues.
- You must not share via e-mail, web forums, texts, etc. until it is ready for release.
This is using all new parts; no, they are not Ford. When I do these kits, I try to stick with parts that will be plentiful in small towns. We use GM calipers and rotors in this application. The Fords I wanted to use was causing a lot of extra work to get to fit.
Our goal on this kit
- Keep costs down, so this is not an $800 front kit. But reasonable priced, for time and materials, etc.
