Firewall to windshield cowl drip edge repair.

Post by undertakerman »

Hey guys. Has anyone had a problem like this before. The attachment shows the area of concern on the passenger's side. I have another one on the driver's side as well. There is some small areas as well along the drip edge where the edge turns down. You can see two of those small areas in the attachment. This is on my 68 F100 that I'm rebuilding. I'm open for ideas. :? :? :?

I cut and welded in a patch. Ground it down and you can't tell. Your drip edge looks turned down, but mine was up. I then stripped the seam sealer and redid it.

I believe you're right. That's only way I see how to fix the large 2 areas. The drip edge is about 3/16' long and is turned down and there are small rust throughs along the edge that are just on the turn down only. So I guess I'm going to have to figure out something to fix those areas. Thanks for the idea. At least we are on the same page. Thanks again. I will post the results

I tried to call up your photobucket on your truck. There much be a problem with site. It will come up and in least that 10 sends it will turn into a blank page. Oh well I will keep trying.

I see you are working on the upper drip. I fixed the lower, but it should be the same.
