Spray-in bedliners
Looking for anyone that has done spray-in bedliners and which brands are best. Also going to use it for underside of bed, cab, firewall and inside cab floor. Several brands out there. Looking for first-hand experience and reviews. Thanks

Re: Spray-in bedliners
Line-X , was very happy with the product. It's hot sprayed as opposed to cold application. They have a good warranty to boot. I'm pretty sure they can also colour it.

Re: Spray-in bedliners
I priced what it would cost locally to spray my bed and they wanted $500. I thought that was a bit much.

I think I paid 600-700 for the Line-X in my Dodge about 6 years ago. Has a lifetime warranty though.

ive never used the stuff myself, but i plan to. i did alot of research hunting down reviews. all i can find it positive stuff. i found one negative review, but the guy admitted he did not prep properly and it is his fault
. This stuff is cheap, and easily fixed if something chips.

Re: Spray-in bedliners
I did it myself with a roller on my 98 Dodge truck. I used Herculiner and was very pleased with how it turned out. I spent an entire day prepping the truck and then applied it the next day. They also have a sealer that will lock in the glossy look if you want it. I did not use it and it faded on my Dodge, but still holds up today and has never come off. I did it 3 years ago. My only issue is my own fault and not that of the product. But I only put 2 coats on which looked like it had complete coverage. After it was all dry and the gloss started to fade a little, I could see some of the old color coming through is various parts where my coverage was not good enough. But the product itself is great.

That being said, I have decided that when I get my crew cab painted, I am going to pay the $800 to get Line-x sprayed professionally in my bed. It was a LOT of work (and messy) to do my 6 foot bed in my dodge and ended up costing my probably about $100 total. The 8 foot bed on my Ford is going to take a LOT more work, and I figured I would just pay this time to make sure I have no other coverage issues.
By the way, 1 gallon of the Herculiner was enough to do the shortbed completely with 2 full coats and there was still some left over. That included all the inner side walls and the top of the bed rails. So a little goes a long way with that stuff.

Re: Spray-in bedliners
I used the SEM Rockit from TCP Global. I bought two kits for my long bed and did the inside of the doors etc. It seems to be holding up well and i thought it was easy to use. The kits come with everything you need except the air compressor.

Re: Spray-in bedliners
I did everything you said above, I used Raptor liner, Inside the cab and inside of the bed I did in Wimbledon White to match truck color, everything from front to back underneath was done in black. It tightened up everything, no squeaks, rattles and helps with sound deadening in the cab. I had about $500 in materials, but it was well worth it.eking66756 wrote:Looking for anyone that has done spray-in bedliners and which brands are best. I am of an age now that most of life's lessons were learned the hard way;
Life is hard, but it’s harder when you’re stupid.
Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear or a fool from any direction.
Never ask how stupid someone is 'cause they'll turn around and show you.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
If you had the choice “Looks or Brains” take the Brains, Looks will get you thru the first half, but Brains will last a lifetime.
