ready to paint...
Got my 71 as smooth as my amatuer capabilities allow and I'm ready to spray Napa single stage enamel on my 71. Not going show quality just want a cool looking old truck I can use as a truck so.... Will a gravity fed HVLP gun from Harbor Freight work OK? I have read the other threads and it would seem so I just wanted to check. Thanks for the view guys.

I think it'll work just fine. I've been through 2 of 'em in the past 2 years and have sprayed GALLONS of POR-15 and gloss black through 'em. They work fine for the average user, like you and me.

Make sure you invest the little money required for a decent moisture separator and regulator.
You'll for sure see the difference if you do.

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

The biggest factor to consider is whether or not the fluid tip is the right size for the material you are spraying. Usually a tip in the 1.3-1.4 range will work well with single stage. I would rather use a cheap gun with the proper tip than an expensive one with too large of a tip
