1968 Hood Info Needed

Post by 68 Ford Stepside »

After reading all of the Ford Truck Sheetmetal Interchange tech section, I found no mention of the hood.I would assume that means the hoods on 1967 thru 1972 trucks have major differences & none will interchange. If I am assuming incorrectly, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

The 67-72 will interchange but the FORD hood letters are different. The 67-69 letters are same and the 70-72 letters are same. Just have to use correct letters for hood you use.

The '70, '71 and '72 hoods have trim mounting holes below the FORD letters.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
