Rear cab mount

Rear cab mount
Both sides of my rear mount that are welded to the cab are completely rusted out. Anyone ever have any luck in cutting out and welding new ones in?

i havent but it looks like it would be easy to make a new piece and weld it in if you have mechanical skills.

I have actually found patch metal parts for it. They come in 12 inch lengths I was just thinking of grinding it off, taping it up and welding it in place.

Hey J_Boo, if you could show a picture of exactly what you're seeing, I'm sure we could help more. Or at least offer an opinion on best approach.
