I made the a/c controls like Grant Peterson did in classic trucks magazine. My fiancée made the gauge overlay to match my other gauges.

When it cools off a little tonight I'll try to snap a few pictures of the addco front sway bar I put on my truck. Since I have been doing the a/c instal I haven't had a chance to drive it to see how it handles with the sway bar on it.

It's a bad pic due to everything covered in sweat and under hood area being dusty, but I mounted my bulkhead for the a/c and heater hoses.

My beautiful bride-to-be gave me my birthday present early. It's a new beer fridge for the garage and it is painted the same color as my 68! She had her brother who painted my 68 paint it with some leftover paint from my truck.

Cool fridge. Sounds like you found a woman like I have. Total support with anything I do on the truck except driving it like I own it. I don't remember are you running an OD trans? What rear gears are you running?

AOD with 3.70 rear.

Thanks. I am currently running a C6 but seriously considering an OD trans. I have 3.08 out back but will be swapping in 3.55 gears this week.

The only ford made OD auto for a 429/460 is a e4od. Which is a great transmission, but the stand alone computer is expensive. Are you wanting to stay with a auto or go manual?

I am staying auto. You can also get an adapter to put an AOD on the back of the 429/460. Why would I not just use Ford's controller & modify the harness?

If there is a way to use factory electronics then go for it. I haven't heard of anyone doing it, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. An AOD built to the hilt I'm not sure if it will hold up the the torque of a big block. I have destroyed built AOD's in fox bodies with 347 and 393 in front of them just playing on the street.

I decided to ditch the interior I put in the truck for something more custom looking. I had Ace upholstery and hot rods build be a custom set of door panels to match the custom black leather and suede seat they did for me.
