I have a '70 fleetside. It has the stock chrome front bumper in decent condition. The rear is the heavy step bumper. Since there is no front license plate requirement in New Mexico, I am thinking of swapping the front bumper to the rear and installing a new chrome front bumper. I'd like one that doesn't have an indent for the license plate. Anyone seen such a thing?
The F1 had a bumper without the license plate area, but it's a different style.
Looks like the early 60's Chevy C-10's had one that is close to what I'm looking for, but I need to confirm the measurements.
Anyone got any other ideas?
Thanks
Tracy

Think Chip Foose....he always takes the licence plate dent out of bumpers. Requires a little cutting and welding. Usually requires a donor bumper for the patch.

Yeah, don't have Chip's budget though...Kurt Combs wrote:Think Chip Foose....he always takes the licence plate dent out of bumpers. Requires a little cutting and welding. Usually requires a donor bumper for the patch.

I cut the indent out and replaced with a piece of another bumper. If you want chrome this will require rechroming. I also plan on building in driving lights.
