Just painted

Post by mlangbauer »

Hey All, I just got my F250 back from the sign painter yesterday. I figured restoring a 67 F250 longbed won't get me anything back financially so I am turning it into a "period" dragster tow vehicle. The truck came from a farm in Kiowa, CO (a town east of Denver). I had the sign painter age everything to make it look like it has been on the truck since 1967. What do you think?

Good day Matt,

I LOVE IT!!! You've definitely made your truck much more unusual, and it looks like the sign painter did a great job of aging it. The style also looks period-correct. Well done.

Glad my phone number is not 646-1320. Seriously, that is beyond cool. Well done!

Very nice, I especially like the old-school "MI" characters rather than numbers!
Well done.

Neat. I'm planning to do that too.. I have yet to decide between "Big Al's Garage" or "Halliburton Field Services"

That is cool...one suggestion, back in that period service trucks in farm country were pretty much stock with a headache rack, too. That kept the rear cab glass intact and added a high point for leverage when you had to put the winch up top and drag something real heavy into the bed...mashed my finger once that way, not far from Kiowa. After work, we went to the Booze Palace (honest injun, not kiddin) in Lamar for a few cold ones...didn't hurt much until the next day.
