Closing hood

After I shut my hood I have to go to each side by the hinges to push the hood flush with the cab seam. Why is this? Are the springs too stiff?

The general thought has been 1 of 3 possibilities. The hinges are slightly (and I mean ever so slightly) binding causing them to not sit flat naturally. Try loosening each bolt and retightening. The hinge pivot points are worn out. Raise the front of the hinge slightly and lower the rear.

Also try soakin 'em down with some oil or silicone spray.

I've found that pushing the hood towards the cab when it's almost latched helps too.

I finally figured this problem out.
1) Loosen the lower hinge bolts (1 side).
2) Postion the hinge low in the rear adjustment slot and high in the front adjusment slot.
3) Retighten the bolts. Do the same with the opposite side.
This will allow for the hinge to pull the hood down to the stops.
