Keepin' It Dry...
I was wondering if anyone has installed the front splash shields (fender liners) from the later Dentsides in a Bumpside? I'm wondering if they would be a direct fit or if they would fit if modified or not fit at all? Just looking to protect my cab mounts, firewall and bodywork. Thanks.

Had mine from my 79' and just never got them installed before I had to move and trash them.

Re: Keepin' It Dry...
Sometime in the late 90's, JCWhitney offered 67-72 Ford truck fender liners. I still have them, black ABS plastic. Took them out for this latest restoration, the underside of the fenders were completely dry and clean. The hinge support area, cab mounts fender-brace were also dry. There's so many places where grime can collect. I'd say definitely worth making a set of dentsides fit a bump.

A buddy of mine has 73 inner tubs in his bump. I don't know how much he had to modify them. I put 1995 f150 inner tubs in mine. They needed a slight trim, but they fit great.

Re: Keepin' It Dry...
Hey, thanks guys. Good. If I can use O.E.M. liners that will make things a whole lot easier than if I had to make them from scratch. I never would have thought to look in '80 and up trucks for them.

Re: Keepin' It Dry...
A buddy of mine that has the 73 inners in the front made some for the rear. He used some flat plastic and shaped it to fit the wheel well. I am going to do it , just have too many projects on the go right now. I also was looking at the wheel tubs from a newer ram, they looked like they could possibly be modified to fit, but I haven't tried it yet.

Re: Keepin' It Dry...
i got dent era liners in mine. lil bit of trimming and an awesome fit. and like the others have said they do well at protecting the underside of the inners and cab. i wanna figure something in rear but the bed is a little different layout to try to match. i plan to figure out something for my new bed though.
