Cleaning Diamond plate
My alum diamond plate tool box is pretty dirty. I have sprayed on everything on my cleaning stuff shelf and nothing has impressed me. Has anybody got any ideas?

Re: Cleaning Diamond plate
Well buffing is definately an art, First start with aluma-brite or whatever equivalent acid you have, spray on let soak, then do it again. My favorite thing to use if i'm not using buffing bars is 3M Super Duty Rubbing Compound. It already has tripoli in it.If you have a buffer, Buff it till it turns black then remove it with with a towel. I know you dont want to hear this but, when you think it looks good re-acid it again, It'll take all the shine out of it but believe me its worth it... the more you repeat these steps the better it will turn out. If you dont have a buffer the best thing i've found to use by hand is at Lowes where the toolboxes are is a buffing compound, it's white and clear until shaken up, but it cuts pretty fast. Also acid this too if you want great results.
