Tailgate repair panel

Post by 71PA_Highboy »

I thought I remembered seeing a tailgate repair panel for replacing the bottom of the tailgate where it always rusts out.

Anyone know who carries these pieces?

Thanks!

Several options, (I looked also) but not a "bottom repair panel". You can get repop, (without the Ford logo) for about one bill I believe. And the repop complete tailgate, (Ford logo) for just over two bills.
Hope it helps...

If it is just the lower few inches and you can't find a repop, you could always hit a sheet metal place, or a body shop. a few minutes with a metal brake and its done!

Mines a combination of two tailgates

OOOPS! sorry guys I was thinking the gate bottom was more like a door skin (flat). Like the newer gates. It was a real long week this week! The pipe method would definitely be the way to go.
