1977 Tailgate

I found a tailgate on craigslist in my area for a good price, will a 77 tailgate work on our trucks? I know I have seen a thread somewhere stating if it would or not, but I cant get the dang search tow ork right this morning.

It will physically fit, but the lower body line is off about 1.5" and the contour at the top is rounder. The latch system is cruddy compared to the bump's.

Thats what I was afraid of, I would rather pay more for something that is going to look good, then get a good price on crap. Thanks for the info

If you were not so far away, I've got several really nice ones. That's the way it usually goes.
