Alright...$55 and a plane ticket! Final offer!
Ya' think the airport security would consider a spray gun a "WMD" and hold you there?

Good morning FoPAR,

Pretty nice paint job for the price of a tank of gas! Which parts did you pull off and which did you mask?

I dig the stars and U.S.A. marks a lot. Not many folks are bold enough to paint shapes and lettering like that on their trucks. I like it.

Just clicked on the thread for the first time and love what you did!! I was contemplating giving a shot at painting my crew myself, but not sure I could pull it off. Can you tell me what you used as far as paint and equipment? I am assuming you have a paint gun and air compressor because that looks too good to be a rattle can job! How big is your compressor and did you paint it inside or outside? With results like that, I am tempted again to try and paint mine myself! :)

good ol rattle can Rust-Oleum (Satin Deep Green) and some “off white” spay paint I had in the shop. 7 cans of the green came out to just over $35.00 with tax, I had the tape and the white paint and I made the decals on my computer with regular paper and double back tape. Then sanded the “USA” and the star for a worn look. Worked for what I wanted it to look like. I really would like to have a bomber chick air brushed on the lower front fenders like the ol WWII bombers had :D , but I'm not going to spend the $$$ for someone to do that on this truck. Maybe I could find a cool decal...

everything you see was masked off, if it was in the first pic's and now it's not, then I took it off before paint...

Sounds like you need to take that puter out back and go "office space" on it's a$$. That will teach it :D

Satin paint is much easier to work with than gloss, when using rattle cans. The spray is to focused for gloss and it's real easy to get stripes because of the reflections off of the gloss. With flat or satin you don't get that, so it looks much better. So don't give me to much credit... :D

Thanks for the feedback guys, my home computer is toast  so I haven't been on lately. Have to log on at work when I get a chance to, but all the pic's are blocked by our work security so sucks not being able to see what every one is doing... :x :pout:
