Back window channel

Post by 67MercM100 »

Does anyone have a picture of the screw that goes in through the door and secures the back window channel?

I just discoverd that both mine are gone. I've got some replacements in, but they're not right; I had to use washers because my screw heads were too small.

I have to admit I have no idea what you are talking about. The window channel in the door? AFAIK there is not screw anywhere near the rear window.

If I look at the doors I pulled yesterday, there are no screws in the back of the door.

Hence my confusion. Where are these screws and do you have a pic of the hole that isn't filled properly?

good luck!

Yes, I'm talking about the rear channel for the side windows. Let's see if this helps.
The "doors" page really didn't show anything.

PS: How do you attach an image directly? I went through Photobucket.

it is just a standard 1/4-20 bolt with washer on all 6 of the doors I have here... Think window regulator bolts...

These are 68-71 doors... dunno about 67... sorry.

Well, a #12 screw seemed to do the job too.
I was just hoping to get it "right". The screws and washers seem to hold things tight OK.
