new paint

Post by Ryan_1 »

Ok, so my 1970 F-250 is my daily driver as well as my 4x4 offroad play toy. I want to repaint it but am looking for options and colors that will look best and paint that will look ok even when scratched up a little from trees and etc. I only have the cab forward to do thanks to a flatbed. The last owner painted over the original reef blue with a red epoxy paint that looks like crap and doesn't clean up very well at all. I will post a pic of the truck soon.

I really like black and red and rally stripes...

Any idea's?

Ryan_1, I've had 'silver' on previous cars and find it to be more 'forgiving' as far as the appearance of dust, dirt, or even small scratches on them...dunno why but it best disguises the 'scums' (pardon my lack of vocabulary) compared to other color. You can go a bit darker in shade/tint of silver. They worked for me, I didnt have to wash them too often :D Just my :2cents: Good luck w your search!
