I bought and installed windshield & rear window rubbers w/ 'groove' in my '70 SWB. Separately, I bought the 'flexible chrome insert' assuming will fit into it, but...not even close
Question: Does anyone know where I can get the right parts for that 'chrome plastic moulding set'?? I checked w/ DC and LMC, they have the rubber w/ grovve for the right years (1967-72) but don't seem to have the chrome parts. Only found for 1977-79. What gives??
I know I have seen pictures of 1967-72 w/ those set up installed. Appreciate your input.....

As far as I know, you can not use the flexible chrome with this generation of Fords and the grooved rubber is not meant for that use. I am also not familiar with ANY reproductions of the front windshield or rear window chrome. You have to get the original front or rear trim pieces from the salvage yard or owners, etc. I do have a set of the front chrome windshield trim, as well as the rear chrome set, for sale if you are interested. Their not show quality but very nice and shiny for daily driver. Let me know.

You should also be aware that the correct Shiny trim for these trucks is intalled Before installing the glass in the vehicle. It is pretty much otherwise impossible to work it into the grooves in the rubber.

Hi Terry, I thought that plastic/aluminum mould would be like in "T" form, that would fit into the groove and the flat top be over/cover the windshield rubber. Instead, what I received was this roll of flexible chromed plastic covered in flat transparent plastic. Tried to force fit it, but seemd too tight to fit and might damage the rubber. So, you are right that my '70 not meant to have that set-up. Appreciate the offer and would certainly keep that in mind. Meantime, I need to make use of the grooved rubber I have installed and figure out what goes/fits into it.

Hi TNIceWolf, you have done this before? If yes, have you by chance any picture of that shiny trim installed? Certainly hope this is the way it is done. Then, I am off to un- install windshield and rear window to do as you suggested. Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks and cheers!

The flexible chrome strip was used in late-70's dentside trucks (77-79).
The corner pieces were separate, and I think they were metal.
The flexible chrome will not work in a seal that is meant for the stainless trim like was used in bump-era trucks. That's unfortunate, because with the flexible trim, windshields are MUCH easier to install!!!
Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something.--Plato
Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leakThat's SWEATfrom all thatHORSEPOWER!!
Also, just to clairify, the truck in the 2nd picture, the chrome trim around the top of the door/window is not original. That has been added on. Looks good, but not OEM.
The correct windshield molding trim is not reproduced. You have to track down OEM trim. I see front & rear windshield trim all the time on ebay.
I agree with TNIceWolf, you will destroy the trim if you try to install it after the glass is in. Once you bend it, the trim looks like hocky.

papabug71, I see what you mean with the chrome trims around the door window. I don't thin I like the look of them either. I have been offered the used trim, still weighing whether I still want them now..thanks for the advice
