72 custom SUPER ROTTEN bed panel
Hey guys, I'm new to th site and the guys over at the welcome mat told me to post m question here. I've sanded my whole truck down to pretty much bare metal... osfoed it.... and primed it... the whole body is in great shape but my passenger side outter/upper bed panel is just to far gone. I've looked at every site I can find to try and find that panel but it doesn't seem like they make it! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance and ill try and post pictures soon!

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

I checked out tha link but they don't have the panel either. I'm thinking hey don't makeit. I need the panel with the stake pocket in it above the trim donw the side. Thanks for the reply!

As you can see the previous owner sloppily slaped on about a quarter inch thick layer of bondo rite over the rust and the hole. I've gotmy work cut out for me I guess

May have to go to a junkyard with a hack saw and see what you can find.

Even though it doesn't show the stake, I'd give them a call tomorrow to see if the panel wraps up around the top.
I know from living in beautiful Naples for 19 years there isn't much for junkyards left in South Florida. There are a few still on up the coast toward Melborne-Titusville area. I also know of one in Bithlo that still has a few bump parts. Hope it helps.

Yeah its pretty bad... that panel they sell is only 22 iches tall and 55 inches long... I talked to a sheet metal guy down here that said it would cost me 800-1000 bucks. I think I'm gonna have to jus go to the super nationals in kentucky this year to get a bed. The worst part is that the rest of my trucks pretty much done except paint! This panel is really driving me nuts.
