Type of paint
This is not a bump question, but is a paint question. I have a 6x10 utility trailer. It is getting to look pretty bad so I was wanting to spray a couple coats paint on it. Does anyone know what kind of paint I can buy to use. Want to get something that is pretty durable and will last a while. Something like machinery paint or heavy equipment paint. Want it to be black or red if possible. Thanks for any suggestions.

What is the surface of your trailer? wood-metal? and what is starting to look bad? is it peeling or rusting?

Re: Type of paint
Its metal. The paint is just worn very thin and starting to rust. Just want something to make it look a little better and stop the rust before it starts eating away at it.

Re: Type of paint
I have a metal trailer I use for my dirt bikes. I finaly decided to use a sprayable box liner on it, mostly because I had some left over
It isn't all that expensive and it is truly tough as nails. I get a lot of good coments about it to. The kit i bought came with a gun. Mine is black but you can get other colors as well. I don't have any pictures but if you are interested I will take some.

Re: Type of paint
If you have a TSC close by it might be a good idea to check there for paint. I found the paint to repaint my wheels there. They carry types for both trucks and trailers and for equipment in a pretty good range of colors including both black and red. I didnt find it to be all that expensive considering it has been such a durable product. I used just spray bomb cans on my wheels years ago and they still look just as good as when I did them with no fading or chalking as of yet. If you look at my project page it shows the paint after application and tire mounting. Amazingly there wasnt even any real damage to the paint even after the mounting process. Let me know if you need me to go to the shed and find a can and get the brand off of it.

Re: Type of paint
I went by my local john Deere place and they had a couple gallon cans they wanted to get rid of. Bought gallon of black for $38.00 will see how it turns out. Thanks for suggestions.
