Tool Box and a Tonneau COver.

Post by 68F100Merlin »

Ok, I got a diamond plate tool box with locks. It i very convenient and semi secure. I also have a fiberglass cap, Cheap with no rear door. I like the look of a truck with a tonneau cover but also like the diamond plate tool box. I think my first choice would be a bed covered by a tool box and a tonneau cover. I have never seen this set up and wonder if there is such a thing how dry does it stay under the cover? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is the truck in my avatar 68 F-100

I think Extang makes soft tonneau covers that work with a tool box.

Not sure how dry that keeps things, but I'm sure if you could seal the toolbox to the bed and the cover to the tool box, it would stay pretty dry.

Here's a link to the Extang site: http://www.extang.com/docs/toolboxtonno.html

Looks like 73 is as far back as they go, but you can get a pretty good idea of how it would look.
