How do you remove dash chrome trim?

Post by cancow »

I am talking about that thin piece that goes around the glove box area on rangers. I can feel behind the dash what feels like bent wires holding it on.

I've removed about 3 or 4 sets. By using a small flat head screwdriver, you can kind of gently pry up to determine the areas where the pins are located. Once you determine those few areas, just gently pry up with the screwdriver and it will pop right out without causing any damage to the trim, pins or your dash. You might think it will cause damage buIt it won't. Like I said, I've removed a few and all came out fine. Just be very gentle

If its going to be a while before you put the trim back on i would put the clips in a sandwich bag and tape it to the trim, No one is remakeing the clips and sometimes they grow feet.
