1965 Ford door glass-make a preacher cuss!

Hey guys... has anyone out there installed the anti-chatter strips and vent and channel felts then found the window acts like it never came out of the truck to begin with! How in blue blazes did Ford build this thing? I really believe they assembled the guts in the door then welded the skin on over it.

My hands are shredded from working on this project and I've dismounted the glass hardware so many times I could do it blindfolded. I think I have to loosen everything up, stuff the glass in there, then try and assemble all in the shell.
