Windshield Trim

Post by cole71 »

While taking my windshield out i noticed my trim has a few dings around it. I took a piece off hoping to tap it back out, but theres a ridge that runs all the way around all the trim making it impossible to work with. Has anyone tried to fix theirs or am I just S.O.L? haha Also i don't think you can buy the windshield or rear glass trim either right? thanks, Cole

Dennis Carpenter's got it for $140 a set. From the description I think it's chromed plastic though.

Yep, that's the chromed plastic used on later-model dents.

Helluva lot easier than the chrome that came on the bumps and earlier-model dents, but it's only about 3/8" wide, and, as stated at least twice, it's chrome plastic.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!
