Swb VS. Lwb
Hey guys I'm just curious to see what you guys prefer? I'm wanting opinions. Are lwb trucks not sporty? what do you like and dislike about either one? I'd like to hear from swb owners as well as lwb owners

i am one of those in the a truck is for hauling stuff club. so longbeds are a plus for me. a shortbed is ok. but you wont be able to haul some stuff safely.

Re: Swb VS. Lwb
a longbox is manly & useful
the gvw is higher and you can haul more junk in the box without flipping down the tailgate.....
however : shortboxes are cute and the ladies like them better

Mine is a long bed. Better for hauling and camping. I like the looks of the shorty, but I will stick with my, more practical 4 me, 8' bed,

May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

I'll admit to liking the looks of the short bed. They make great looking trucks. However, I use my lwb truck for a TRUCK! There's something satisfying about sliding 10 full sheets of plywood and 100 2x4's in the back of the truck and still being able to shut the tailgate.Whateverman wrote:a longbox is manly & usefulthe gvw is higher and you can haul more junk in the box without flipping down the tailgate.....

I like the shorties myself. But then all I do is city driving, and the biggest thing I have ever carried was a refrigerator.
The longbeds are a bit of a bitch to park around here sometimes.

Re: Swb VS. Lwb
My swb makes a great daily driver. Don't miss power steering one bit. As far as hauling a load, mine carried a Series 60 shortblock (about 1500 pounds) around 100 miles no problem. I have no plans to lower it.

Re: Swb VS. Lwb
For a styleside pickup, I definitely like the longbeds better....Just used to them, I guess...The shortbed stylesides look sawed off to me, but I do prefer the shortbed flareside...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

Indeed!!! I sure like that shade of yellow! I wouldn't outfit a truck in that style, with those wheels or anything, but I respect the guy for making something truly one-of-a-kind.whiteblur wrote:I've seen that yellow one posted around the net and its probably one of the nicest i've seen![]()
