When you start working on the grille again and have removed everything off it and you want to strip the anodizeing off use easy off oven cleaner, Ive tryed other stuff but it just dont work as good. A little breeze at your back is good when spraying easy off on the grille because the fumes will tear your lungs up. Let the easy off sit for 30 minutes on there, Might need to touch up a few spots that dry out a little while its sitting. When its time to remove the anodizeing i put on some rubber gloves and Lightly rub down the grille with soapy SOS pads. The anodizeing should be soft so dont rub it hard or it will scratch the aluminum. Spray off the grille with water and the anodizeing should be gone. If theres spots that havent come off just spray with easy off and let it sit again about 30 minutes and all should come off the second time.
