69 grille. Opinions please. "Custom" Ranger emblem

I bought me a 69 ranger grille a few months back. Paid 50 dollars for it. What you guys think of the emblem used in place of the original ranger emblem. I got the original but it needs reworked. Any guess what the emblem is from? I know but want to see if theres any guesses! Also, hows the price? It needs cleanup and refinish the stripe in the center bar. Thinking Im going to paint stripe back black! Few small dings but not too bad. driver quality. Let me know what you think.

Off the top of my head the Ranger emblem looks like it's off a dent maybe. And shoot yeah a black center line would look cool.

I agree with CNM67 on the stripe. With the faded red, I think the new emblem looks a little out of place, but next to a black stripe, it'll probably look EXCELLENT!

And $50 does seem like an undeniably stellar deal for that grille!!!

looks like the emblem is off a 71 fleetside box. would look pretty custom with the black stripe.

You got it drake. Its the emblem found on the rear bedsides of our trucks. This is off a 72! Thanks for the comments and thoughts. I plan to make the original one into a custom one soon. Just thought this was an interesting thought. Bolts in place in factory grille holes. Just trimmed off the center mounting pin on emblem. I thought the black would be kinda neat for something different being as Im considering semigloss black and grey as my colors.
