should i save these ?
i have two beds. that have really bad floors in them. one is on my 4wd. i really dotn plan on saving anythign from that bed at all. it can stay there and continue to rot. if i didnt need the money. but then i would need a bed to hual wood with. ok. well i guess that isnt a matter to worry about.
the second bed. has a bad floor but the sides are still pretty good. atleast the passneger side is. the drivers side has a good outside skin. but when removing the floor should i save the floor crossmembers for anything? i dont really need them. the rear one is bad. so its gone. but the two center ones. i dont need. do i scrap or keep them for someone else who may need them later on? are those crossmembers or any of the crossmembers the same as a flareside bed?

If I needed the $$, I would scrap em. Ya do what ya need 2 do. Then again keep something to haul the wood with. Winter comes back around 2 darn fast.

i got the rear three out today. and i didnt even have to damage them to get them out. i then decided. i didnt want to mess with saving them. i threw them in the truck filled with scrap.

If you haven't already scrapped the beds, I'm still needing two stake pockets. I just need the supports that are welded inside the bed as two of mine are missing.fordman wrote:i got the rear three out today. and i didnt even have to damage them to get them out. i then decided. i didnt want to mess with saving them. i threw them in the truck filled with scrap.

which side of the bed? these have square holes in them. it was a 70 bed. now it is in pieces. all that i saved was the sides and the front part. i heard those are hard to find a good one. it was in pretty good shape so i saved it too.

Square holes are perfect. I need one from each side. It's the front two that I need if it matters.fordman wrote:which side of the bed? these have square holes in them. it was a 70 bed. now it is in pieces. all that i saved was the sides and the front part. i heard those are hard to find a good one. it was in pretty good shape so i saved it too.

Were the short or long beds? Do you have the steps and brackets for them?
