Your Pics, please - FORD BLUEs

Dear fellas, I will be repainting my '70 F100 and leans toward 'blue' . Before I go for a custom blue paint, I'm certainly looking at original factory blues, but the ones shown (from scanned brochure in FORDification) aren't really clear. I would hope (and appreciate) if you can help me by posting yours Nothing trumps real color on the trucks Cheers.

71highboy: thanks, so do I. Previous owner did the paint, but it needs new make-over.

Dave: Harbor Blue is very nice, especially on your super clean truck. Nice job keeping it like that. I want to paint the cabin roof in Wimbledon White, still deciding which blue fits best for me.

Bryan: thanks for your picture, though can't quite tell what blue that is..do you?

fixed the tires and moved it home since this pic was taken, but its similar to Sonic Blue

Not sure what kind of blue it is....been meaning to go to a shop and have them scan it. I do love it though! And when/if I get it re-painted it will be the same color.

Your truck looks really clean. I do like that color, you shoud keep it that way.

swamp_rat, that nice Sonic Blue is from the Shelby Cobra series, isn't? Darker blue is similar to my previous top-half of my truck

Hi SoCalExile, been looking at your BlueGoose Project, nice truck I think that blue is definitely on top of my list. If looking at yours, it maybe (if factory original) or/close to Grubber Blue. Maybe someone else can verify. Lookin' good Man!

Fordman5, thanks for the compli, but up close you'll find many imperfection as it had been painted on LAYERS of older paints and bondos....quarter of an inch THICK Besides, new owner - new paint policy is in place

Thanks. It's pretty nice that no matter how big of a parking lot I put it in, I can always manage to find it pretty quick.

Sonic Blue was on a few Mustangs and the Lightning. ill hopefuly get better pics sooner or later to show the color better.

None of these are my trucks but here are some of my favorite looking blues on F-100s (not all of them are bumps but still F-100s ) that I have saved the pictures of :







If there is a particular shade of blue you were looking for I could look for specific pictures. And personally my favorite blue out of these has got to be the top one on the two-tone truck.
