The glossy black ones with the shiny bits on looks good but I wasnt planning on any chrome other than hubcaps.

I'm considering glossy black with a quarter inch bright red pinstripe towards the outer edge of the rim along with modern, sporty looking tires. Any thougts?

Like the previous post said, I don't think flat or glossy is going to matter much 10-20ft away, using black. Since your original paint is still pretty glossy, I'd go that way. The tires and rim offsets will make it pop. Like the rear tire on your bug. That tire and wheel combination with the flat completes that car. The bug would look just as good with glossy rims. Nice bug BTW.

Your rear tire looks like it's fixing to slide down the hill in that first pic

I'm kind of partial to the satin black myself. I stripped the wheels down to bare metal and primed and painted them.

So, I'm giving this topic a bump (no pun intended)

The wheels are on the way to get a layer of powder but I'm going to need some rubber for them when they return.
Any thoughts on dimensions for 10x15 wheels?

Also my steering coupler is shot, where can i buy a new one? Preferably somewhere that does international shipping...

You can get the steering coupler from cennis carpenter's, NPD, LMC or most any of the places that sell parts from our trucks.

So I just got my rims back from the local blacksmith. By mid april we should have some dry tarmac over here so I'll need to get some hoops. What do you reckon is the most appropriate tire size on a set of 15x10" rims?

I've been looking at BF Goodrich Radial T\As to get that semi hotrod feel but if theres any alternatives I should concider, please let me know!
